 The 6th biennial Nevil Shute Conference will be held in the historic city of York, U.K. from 26th to 31st July 2009. This will be a unique opportunity to discuss and discover more about the life and work of this best-selling author in the area where he spent seven formative years working on the R.100 airship, starting Airspeed and writing his early novels.

Full day of presentations and discussion

 Excursion to Sherburn Aero Club and Yorkshire Air Museum
 A themed evening is planned!

 Wednesday 29th July

 Full day of presentations and discussion

 Thursday 30th July

 Excursion day in and around the York area.
 Conference Banquet - Guest Speaker Mary Stopes-Roe (daughter of Barnes Wallis)

 Friday 31st July

 Final full day of presentations, discussion, readings
 Close of the Conference
